20/08/2015: BRC Audit 2015 Punjab attains AA, the highest grade against BRC Issue 7!

As food safety awareness increases and we all have a vested interest in knowing where our food comes from, it stands to reason that food manufacturers must meet ever more stringent audit criteria.

The BRC standard has grown into the benchmark standard for the food industry. In order to achieve the standard, a food manufacturer must have the highest levels of food safety and hygiene, staff must be trained to a high level, management must be committed from the top of the organisation to the production floor and the premises must be kept and maintained to the highest standard.

For the last 14 years we have achieved a Grade A against the ever more demanding standard. This year, saw the standards raised once more with a tougher audit process and a new top grade of AA. We are extremely proud to announce that we have achieved the highest possible standard in being awarded the new AA grade, making us one of the top rated manufacturers in the UK.

Some of the stand out moments that our auditor mentioned included her interaction with the staff who she said were ‘attentive, knowledgeable and keen to show me the processes’. She also commented on us going the extra mile with the newly introduced supplier horizon mapping module, allowing us to make sure all of our ingredients are as they should be, so that we can make food of the highest quality and to the safest levels. She also indicated that our levels of hygiene were ‘exemplary’.

This has been our best result yet as we continue to grow from strength to strength, we are proud of our Technical team and employees for showing our commitment to safe and delicious food.
